Route signs and No Entry Except Cyclists towards the Euston Road

Why can't developers use the standard signs for cycle routes rather than always having to invent their own?

The route ahead is obvious, but the left-turn is puzzling - there's a No Left Turns sign at the lights.

Excellent sign, except that the route ahead is closed by construction work.

The big sign is correct but crooked. The lower sign is wrong: you wouldn'tturn right to get to St Johns Wood
