Coming from bedford row it is very dangerous to cross Theobalds road to go straight into Great James Street. Cars usually block the crossing as there is a traffic light in Theobalds Road. There are several lanes on Theobalds Road, so while the traffic is not moving on one of the lanes it might still be moving on the second which makes it very difficult to cross. The problem could be solved by drawing a line on Theobalds Road before the crossing (the traffic light is after the crossing) where cars have to stop in the case of a red light. Thus the crossing would be held free when the traffic light is red.
