This junction is purgatory for cyclists. I am a pretty brave cyclist but whenever I cycle here, a part of me is saying: 'you could actually die here.' The entirety of Euston Road is a grim, cheerless and terrifying experience for cyclists, with cars speeding past and driving at you as if they hope to clip you as they pass. This road is wide enough for segregated cycle lanes. To not have them is madness, especially as this is the most polluted place in London; and with one of the highest cycle casualty rates, something needs to be done here as a matter of urgency for the health of London. This junction often feels like a war zone as cars try to deliberately intimidate cyclists, turn left in front of them after overtaking and generally endanger them. I thank God I'm alive after I turn off this road. It is nothing short of a disgrace.
