There is a real problem for cyclists turning right from Gray's Inn Road onto Clerkenwell Road. Whilst there is a cycle priority box at the junction, motorists waiting behind who want to continue straight ahead attempt to squeeze past cyclists waiting to turn right. Just yesterday a taxi that passed me with inches to spare also announced that I was a "f**king nuisance." Additionally, the oncoming traffic tends to continue through the red light, so you have to hope that the motorbikes and other traffic speeding away from the now green light to your left will let you turn. It is now the "hotspot" of my daily journey home from Fleet Street to Walthamstow, as I've had a number of near misses - both being "skimmed" by cars passing so close on my left when waiting to turn, and having to avoid oncoming cars driving through the red light whilst executing my turn.

Could the right hand lane for traffic on Gray's Inn Road at this junction be changed to right-turn only? Staggering the lights differently to prevent the light jumping would also help.
