Kentish Town Road is a real nightmare. It's a series of non-stop hazards: buses pulling in and out; buses squeezing you onto the curbside; cars, vans and the all-aggressive taxis pulling out of side roads or crossing traffic to turn into them; cars haphazardly parked or constantly backing in and darting out. It's a prime example of the failure of joined-up cycle routes because it's very hard to avoid if you're commuting from directly north of there. Would it be possible to have a cycle lane on at least one side -- which would also improve the environment for pedestrians in what is a very traffic-polluted precinct? Or, better still, punch a continuous cycle route through to Royal College Street?
